What is PQQ?
Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, (PQQ), is a unique vitamin-like substance that can be found in foods, (kiwifruit is a good example), that is showing a potential range of desirable benets to both brain and body functions. PQQ does this as it plays a critical role in the growth and development of mitochondria throughout the body and the brain.
Why Choose Health Thru Nutrition PQQ?
Our Non-GMO Health Thru Nutrition PQQ has a unique ability to stimulate cell-signaling pathways involved in cellular energy metabolism plus, mitochondrial function and development. In fact, PQQ is key in enabling cells to undergo spontaneous mitochondrial biogenesis. Biogenesis is the production of new living organisms or structures within individual cells. Spontaneous mitochondrial biogenesis, initiated by PQQ, is essential for human health and longevity. If you inhabit an aging body, (and many of us do!), or have other health issues that aect the function of the mitochondria in your cells than PQQ from Health Thru Nutrition should be considered just as essential to optimum mitochondrial performance as is our bio-enhanced Coenzyme Q10.

This verified raw material is then lab tested for potency, microbiology, heavy metals, and residual solvents before any use in manufacturing.
Finally, all finished products are tested to ensure that the potency is at least 100% of label claim, along with a second round of heavy metal and microbiological testing to make sure that the product is safe for human consumption.
What is magnesium stearate? Why is it added to the supplement?
Magnesium stearate is used in the manufacturing of both supplements and medications as a lubricant or “flow agent” to prevent blockages in the machinery. Being used in the manufacturing process, small amounts make their way into the final product.
Magnesium stearate is found in nature and in our diet, (meat and chocolate are particularly rich sources). Bottom line, the small amount that you will actually consume from supplements or medications is considered negligible.
What is silicon dioxide? Why is it added to the supplement?
Silicon Dioxide is used in the manufacturing process to prevent the various powdered ingredients destined for the supplement from sticking together and to ensure an even distribution of ingredients in the final product. As with many food additives, consumers often have concerns about finding silicon dioxide on product labels. However, numerous studies have found no health risks associated with silicon dioxide and the actual amount in each supplement is considered negligible.
What is microcrystalline cellulose? Why is it added to the supplement?
Microcrystalline Cellulose is an industry standard binding agent used in the making of foods, prescription drugs, over the counter medications, and dietary supplements. It is added to supplements as an excipient and inert substance. In fact, it is so inert it is often used as a placebo in controlled drug studies. As an insoluble fiber, microcrystalline cellulose is not absorbed into the blood stream, so it cannot cause toxicity when taken orally.
What is hypromellose? Why is it added to the supplement?
Hypromellose, is a derivative of cellulose, (the main constituent of plant cell walls), used as eye drops for artificial tears and in supplements as an excipient. Hypromellose is a vegetarian alternative to gelatin.
